4 Days Student & Group Trip to Morocco
This 4-day trip is for students, school and university groups, and groups of friends who want a real night in the Sahara from Marrakech while keeping the budget under control. It is a round trip: you leave from Marrakech and come back to Marrakech, so flights are easy to plan. Prices are based on groups of eight or more sharing rooms, and we can quote for larger groups with a minibus.
Designed for groups
Groups need clear plans, fair rooms and a team that answers questions quickly. We send a detailed day-by-day plan before departure, arrange twin, triple and quad rooms in clean guesthouses, and share a group leader contact who is reachable throughout the trip. Teachers and group leaders get a single room where available.
Marrakech to the desert
We leave Marrakech early and cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass to the UNESCO ksar of Ait Benhaddou, then continue through Ouarzazate to the Dades Valley for the first night. On day two we walk through the Todra Gorge, drive on to Merzouga and ride camels into Erg Chebbi for a night at our camp, with dinner, drumming and a sky full of stars.
A morning of learning in Merzouga
Day three starts with sunrise on the dunes and is designed to teach as well as entertain. Students meet a nomad family, listen to Gnawa musicians in Khamlia and learn about their West African roots, and see how local fossils are cut in a workshop. After lunch we drive west through Rissani, Alnif and the palm groves of the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate.
Back over the High Atlas
On the last day there is time for a short stop at the kasbahs and film studios of Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas again. The trip ends in Marrakech in the late afternoon, in time for an evening in Jemaa el-Fna or a night flight.
Budget and safety
Lunches are not included so groups can control spending; they typically cost €5 to €10 per person in local restaurants. We keep a strict schedule, never split groups without a leader and can adapt meals for vegetarian or other dietary needs if told in advance. Families with younger children may prefer our 8-day family Morocco and Sahara adventure, which has shorter driving days.
