5 Days Romantic Sahara Escape

This 5-day private escape is for couples on a honeymoon, an anniversary or simply a trip together who want the Sahara to feel personal. The pace is gentle, the car is yours alone, and the heart of the trip is two nights at a luxury camp in Erg Chebbi with a private dinner under the stars.

The journey there

We pick you up from your riad in Marrakech and cross the High Atlas on the Tizi n'Tichka pass, stopping wherever the view asks you to. After lunch near Ait Benhaddou and time to walk up through the ksar together, we continue past Ouarzazate and the Skoura palm grove to a charming hotel in the Dades Valley. On day two you walk hand in hand through the Todra Gorge before the road opens up to the desert and Merzouga.

Two nights in the dunes

Camels take you into Erg Chebbi as the sun sets, and our luxury camp welcomes you with tea and a tent that is entirely yours: a double bed, en-suite bathroom with hot shower and a small terrace. On one of the two nights, we set a private table on a quiet dune with lanterns, cushions and a three-course Moroccan dinner, and the team leaves you alone with the stars.

The day in between is unhurried. Watch the sunrise from the dunes, have breakfast late, then choose what you like: a short 4x4 drive to Khamlia to hear Gnawa music, sandboarding, or an afternoon resting in the shade of the camp.

Planning a proposal?

We have helped couples prepare proposals in the dunes, and we keep it discreet. Tell us in advance and we can arrange flowers, a decorated spot at sunset, or a photographer from the region at an extra cost.

The road home

The return takes the southern route through Alnif, N'Kob and the Draa Valley to a kasbah hotel near Ouarzazate, which breaks up the drive. On the last morning you cross the Atlas and arrive in Marrakech by early afternoon.
